Weekly Breastfeeding Support Group
Every Monday 12:30 - 2PM
Drop-ins welcome


Join other new moms and a facilitating Breastfeeding USA Councilor and doula to get advice and tips for success; share your experience and make meaningful connections.

Seeking support in the early days of breastfeeding is an important step if you or your baby are having a difficult time.  We welcome breastfeeding babies of any age. 

While we do hope that this group fosters strong relationships among mothers, we ask attendees to please be mindful of the breastfeeding focus while present.

An infant scale is available for weighted feedings.



Our Baby Class (OBC): Better Baby Class
Final Days of Pregnancy & Newborn Care (two 2 hour classes)
COST:  $100 (per couple) 

This class is intended for expecting parents, ideally after 20 weeks.

The Better Baby Class is the most comprehensive prenatal newborn prep class on the market. So many people have found their hospital-based newborn classes to be lacking, and we at OBC wanted to give you more. In this four-hour class, we cover everything you need to know from the moment your baby is born through the first two weeks of his or her life. You will leave this class prepared to take care of your newborn; you’ll know how to start breastfeeding off right and how to ease the recovery for the birthing mom; and your partner will have a concrete understanding of what they should be doing and how best to support the family through these early days. This class teaches you not just a few survival tips, but it will empower you to thrive as new parents. Class topics include:

  • Embracing the final days of pregnancy
  • Plans for when you’re in labor
  • What is the “fourth trimester”
  • The “Golden Hour” after birth
  • Benefits of skin-to-skin contact
  • Common newborn procedures
  • Getting breastfeeding off to a great start
  • What makes a great latch
  • Taking care of birthing mom’s body after birth
  • Newborn care days 1-14
  • Typical newborn sleep
  • Soothing a fussy baby
  • How to have helpful visitors
  • Establishing your new family
  • A day-by-day guide for baby, birthing mom, and partner for the first week after birth





New Mom Group
Every Wednesday, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Drop-ins welcome 

Come connect with other mothers and their little ones in a super cozy environment!  This group serves to bring moms with kids to talk about all things post-partum and baby.  This group is casual and unstructured, and is just what you need when you want to get out of the house and socialize with other moms in a safe, judgement free space.  Ask questions and meet other local moms.

Come meet other pregnant women in our community to share everything going on in this crazy, beautiful (sometimes terrifying) journey.  Share tips, stories, ask questions, make friends. 



Born With Love Birth Services: Navigating Your Hospital Birth
Every 1st Wednesday

2 hour Class $50 per couple, $25 deposit

This class is for expectant couples who would like to take the lead in their Hospital Birth Experience and who already have knowledge of the birth process. Facilitated by Marcella DeRosa, a seasoned doula who draws from her experience to deliver helpful information to have a positive birth experience in a hospital setting. In class we will discuss the labor process as it relates to the hospital, common hospital procedures and policies at every stage of labor, hospital recommendations for induction, augmentation of labor and c-section, tips for avoiding common interventions, induction methods, making informed choices and communicating well with hospital staff. You will leave this class better prepared to take on the challenges that arise often in birth or avoid them all together. 




Breastfeeding 101 (prenatal class)

Cost: $35 per couple.

"Breastfeeding 101," a comprehensive two hour workshop, covers the basics of milk production, how to know that your baby is getting enough, proper positioning and latch for successful nursing, possible complications and their resolutions, common breastfeeding misconceptions, and information on storing and expressing milk.  Individual concerns are also addressed and techniques and tips to ease the nursing relationship are shared.




Wills, Trusts & Guardians 101

A Workshop for Families Considering Estate Planning

Cloth Diaper Workshop

Interested in cloth diapers? Our free cloth diaper workshop features a short presentation on each of the cloth diaper systems. We provide information on laundry care and the daily routine involved with each diapering method so you feel prepared and ready to begin with cloth!

Blossoming Bellies: Group Childbirth Preparation Class
3 week series (meets once per week for two hours).
NEXT: August 9-23rd (Thursday evenings) from 7 to 9pm

$215 per couple. $50 deposit

A Blossoming Bellies birth class is interactive and hands-on. We cover the emotional and physical process of labor, the role of interventions and how to navigate through that, pelvic bodywork and baby positioning, medical pain relief options and hands-on comfort measures, relaxation techniques and more, all with the goal of helping parents feel supported, confident, and aware of the many options and resources available to them.




Family & Friends CPR Training
Every 1st Sunday, 10am-12noon

COST $30 per person

This Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of child CPR with breaths, child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in a child or infant. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, 
new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.


  • Applies AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which  improves learning and retention
  • Classroom format works well for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback while learning skills
  • Each student receives high-quality course materials for ongoing reference
